PROJECT: “Energosound”

15 September 2017 m. Klaipėda, Lithuania Four creators of music and contemporary dance – Kristijonas Lučinskas, Donatas Bielkauskas, Viktoras Rubežas, Rūta Butkus will present a sound and motion project “Energosound”. This project is a part of an international art festival “Platforma”.

CONTRACT: a year in Zhejiang Conservatory of Music

Ruta Butkus has signed a contract and is about to leave Lithuania for Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. The choreographer will be giving a contemporary dance course at the newest dance department.

In May 2017 Ruta Butkus participated in International dance teachers seminar „Insights of China – the Belt & Road“ where for a week she was giving contemporary dance lessons for students of Zhejiang music conservatory.

WORKSHOP@KAAY FECC festival in Dakar

In May 2017 Ruta Bukus held a contemporary dance workshop during the KAAY FECC dance festival in Dakar (Senegal).

In May 2017 Ruta Butkus joined the dancers in a performance of Aira Nagineviciute “Towers of Melancholy” at the 9th KAAY FECC festival in Dakar (Senegal). Music: Vladas Dieninis Set design: Arunas Adomaitis    

DANCE @ the concert “12 Pocket Symphonies” by Sven Helbig

Ruta Butkus will perform her dance piece at the concert “Pocket Symphonies” performed by Klaipeda chamber orchestra and composer Sven Helbig.

Sound and motion performance MA in Amsterdam

Next sunday (11.09) in Amsterdam, sound and motion performance MA will be performed as a part of four interactive performances of motion, sound and multimedia – interACTA.

Dance lessons

Ruta Butkus gives contemporary dance lessons:
- for LMTA Oskaras Korsunovas theater students on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- for the actors of VU Kinetic theater on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 PM.
- at Vytis Jankauskas dance theater studio for the beginners on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 PM. (Konstitucijos av. 25).
- Contemporary dance association lessons for professionals on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM. (@Menų spaustuvė).
